Its a simple shoot e'm up where you have to kill all the increasingly hard enemies in each room before you can progress to the next, using various weapons and pick-ups to your advantage to achieve you goal. Graphics - 9/10 Graphicly, this game is stunning! Every sprite in the game has been well made, expecially the players character, and the enemies later on in the game, in specific the Pizger, a giant tank. However, there are a few problems. For instance, the main character blends well with the rest of the game graphics which, although makes it look better, means the character can be hard to find after you've just died. Also, the health bar, special bar, and the lives count do not stick out enough, meaning you often dont notice when your healths low. These are just small problems though, that can easily be forgotten - expecially after you've just blown half the area up! Sound - 8/10 The in game music, although good, you only really hear the bass riff most of the time, due to the constant sound of gunes blaring! as there is no point in letting go on the shoot butten, you tend to just hear constant firing. However, this is not a bad thing as the sound effects are really good. Game Play - 10/10 This game is increadably addictive! When you first start playing to encounter a small flow of enemies which, by the middle of level one, turns in to an army! This means fast paced game play, with only brief breaks between levels. The game has good selection of pick-ups and weapons (each with thier own 'Special') to be tried out, including a Flame Thrower, and a Slow Shield. The slow shield is one of my favourites, as it means anything entering a large field around the player slows down drastically, including bullets! The mix of mouse and keyboard leads to fluid character control, which is needed in the heat of one of the fights! Overall - 9/10 Overall, this game is increadably fun, and addictive. Its graphicly pleasing, and the sounds fit well with the game - all this and its the Authors first game?
